Day 5 - A photo of your favourite book

I don’t read a lot, mainly because all the required reading for my classes are enough to drown me.

I must admit, I have this secrete fetish for young adult books…I mean…I’m not much of a language person, and I prefer to read books that are SIMPLE and do not involve tons of words that I’d have to look up midway through reading (I’m quite poor with words really…-.-)

My FAVOURITE series of books of ALL times is the Shopaholic Series by Sophie Kinsella.

Now…I may not be “the biggest fan” of the series out there, but I sure have loved it ever since…..FOREVER long ago…O.O (maybe grade 8?)

On the side: I really adore Sophie Kinsella’s books. They are fun to read, REALLY related to real life (I mean…HAHA…yea…talk about being a shopaholic with makeup right~?! xD) and it’s as girly as you can get with books!

Anyway…If you’re girly, and would like to enjoy a simply relaxing read…Definitely go check this series out…if you haven’t ALREADY.

Breaking Tartans’ Virginities + Tartan FOTD…=)

Please don’t think wrong about the title…lol…let me explain:

You know when you finally make the decision of buying a product that you’ve eyeing for quite a while, but never really get the courage to put the money down? Then you get the beautifully packaged, brand new product in your hand, and you just can’t bring yourself to dip your fingers or a brush in it to ruin it~?!?~ (which if you’re like me, a bit OCD-ed, this can literally drive you insane!) Then finally, you decide that you’ve waited too long to try this product, and you finally open up the package and take your first swipe at it~?!….well….that’s what I mean by breaking a products virginity!!!

Anyway, so after sitting on my dresser for 5 days, I’ve finally decided that it was time to put my Tartans to good use!

For a normal school day, Her Blooming Cheeks would not have been the best or the smartest choice to make for a blush, but I was so desperate to try them out, I decided to take that risk anyway……FORTUNATELY it didn’t go wrong!! (Thank Goodness for a light hand!)

Here are some FOTD pictures.

Note:

1) Cut a Caper is ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS~!!!! It is possibly, to date, THE best colour to fit my skin tone and natural lip colour so well!!! (Definitely earned back every penny that I paid for this lippie…)

2) I have to admit, worrying about the blush being too bright, I probably applied it a little bit TOO light…><. It might not be that noticeable in the pictures, but…you can still see the little bit of pinky flush that it adds to my cheeks, which needless to say is just a stunning effect!!

3) I heard from a friend (S) that Her Blooming Cheeks is a pro colour…so…if I ever run out of this colour (GOD KNOWS WHEN THAT DAY WILL EVER COME WHEN I RUN OUT OF BLUSH COLOURS) I should still be able to get my hands on it…provide that this is a true rumour…O.O

Tartan Pictures~

Finally took some pictures of the items that I bought from the Tartan collection….So far…

These are the 2 items that I bought so far: Cut a Caper lipstick (lustre) and Her Blooming Cheeks blush (
satin)

        

I am SOOO in love with this colour right now!! It looks scary at first when you concentrate the swatch in one place, but if you blend it out (below) it is the most gorgeous shade of baby pink that works really really well with Asian skin undertones!!

These are definitely not going to be the only products that I’m going to buy from the Tartan collection(>< Sad, I know.) Will soon be uploading a Tartan collection WISHLIST!! (*sigh* my poor wallet.)

New Template!!!

Finally had some time to do some modifications to the blog design, the old one was making me bored.

I have to say that I’m not completely satisfied with my new design…I mean I personally find it extremely creepy to be looking at someone’s face as soon as the blog page loads…but forgive me blog, I really had no better idea as to what kind of designs I could use for my blog.

HAHA! Hopefully, my readers won’t find it very disturbing that they will be starring at my face in the background while they read my post, but on the other hand, I hope that my posts are good enough to overcome the creepiness that’s happening in the background. xD

Anyway, I hope you all don’t mind this change and I would love to hear some feedbacks and ideas! =)

“A Tartan Tale”!!!!

I AM GOING TO GO BANKRUPT BY THE END THE THIS!!!

I think that the tartan tale collection is one of THE BEST collections that MAC’s come up with in the past while…well…by my standards anyway!!

The whole Scottish-ish theme is just seems extra appealing to me somehow~~ @.@

I love ESPECIALLY the raspberry/fuscia shades in the collection…Gosh, I need to get a grip on myself…T.T

Anyway, I ended up buying just a lipstick and a blush…but I think I’m definitely going back for more before the collection goes away~~ =(

I got the lipstick in “Cut a Caper” (which everybody has…>.>) and also the blush in “Her Blooming Cheeks” which I fell madly in love with, the instant that I saw it!!!

LOL~! will upload some swatches and pictures later. I’m also going to put up a Wish-list for recent collections (i.e. Tartan, and Venomous Villains)~~~ EEEEEK!! time to save up~!!!><
